O my Hope and my Confidence and Supporter, You are the Only One Who helps the estranged oppressed one against the oppressor and against the unjust who wrongs me and take away my basic civil and human rights and treats me harshly and unfairly. O’ Allah, remove my afflictions, veil my defects, and forgive my offenses, and let me move in the company of the noble-minded persons; O’ Allah, make therefore the hearts of the people to yearn towards Your devout followers, Ameen.

They are firm against prejudice, discrimination, harassment, hatred and harm, and they hope that the integrity, dignity, and the civil and human rights of people will be rectified.

Islam is a religion of peace toward mankind and emphasizes the rights of the people and the sanctity of life. KCIK condemns all acts of indiscriminate violence and unrighteousness. Islamic Burial Rites الدفن على الطريقة الإسلامية
The deceased Muslim should be buried in an Islamic cemetery and this is imperative by the rules of Islam. Kufa Center of Islamic Knowledge (KCIK) performs Islamic burial rites for the deceased Muslim and KCIK attempts to meet with the family to comfort them as well as interacts with the staff of the funeral home to instruct them regarding the burial procedure for Muslims. Education: Learning, Knowledge and Wisdom
Islam has emphasized the importance of Ilm. Knowledge and wisdom are two of the sublime qualities that individuals can possess and it applies to all the sciences, those derived from the Glorious Qur’an itself, and others as they relate to the physical and the social sciences. Islam encourages all Muslims to study and research for the sake of serving the community of Muslims and benefiting humanity at large.
Kufa Center of Islamic Knowledge is a blessing to exert the best effort to help and benefit mankind. The AL-KUFA Scholarship established to educate the Muslim youth in their chosen fields of study. Students who need financial assistance to cover school/college/university tuition and/or other related fees and expenses are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students, who are interested in the AL-KUFA Scholarship Fund, please send a letter to the AL-KUFA Scholarship Committee, and if you have questions, please visit our Web sites or contact KCIK. The AL-KUFA School was established 1995 for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The AL-KUFA School demonstrates universal values and principles such as responsibility, commitment, respect, love, excellence, freedom and peace. Muslims and non-Muslim students attended learned declaration of faith (Shahadah), the obligatory (wajib) prayers (Salat - Morning Prayers صلاة الصبح, Dhuhr Prayers صلاة الظهر, Asr Prayerصلاة العصر, Maghrib Prayers صلاة مغرب, Isha Prayers صلاة العشاء), and recommended (mustahab) prayers - The Need Prayers (Salat Al-Hajah صلاة الحاجة) , short chapters or verses of the Qur’an (Surah AlFatihah سورة الفاتحة The Opening, Surah AlIkhlas سورة الإخلاص The Unity Sincerity, Surah AlQadrسورة القدر The Grandeur, Surah AlFalaq سورة الفلق The Dawn, The Daybreak, Surah AlNas سورة الناس The People – Mankind, Ayat Al Kursi آية الكرسي The Throne of The Almighty Lord - 2:255), Dua’a دعاء (supplications - Surah Al-Baqarah سورة البقرة 2:201, Surah Al-Imran سورة آل عمران 3:8, Surah Ibrahim سورة إبراهيم 14:40 and Surah Ibrahim سورة إبراهيم 14:41),Supplication Dua’a دعاء to prevent misfortunes دعاء لمنع المصائب, The Most Beautiful Names of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala)أسماء الله الحسنى , Muslim names (male and female) and their meanings الأسماء الذكريه-النسائيه ومعانيها, (especially for new Muslims with newborn children), Islamic chats, Islamic laws, Arabic language (ArabicLanguage for Non-Arabic speakers اللُغَة العربية لغيرالناطقين باللغة العربية), reading, writing, and recitation of the Qur’an. The participants will receive a Certificate of Knowledge studies in Islam and Arabic, and the volunteers will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.Please sign up the Registration Form, mail or e-mail it to KCIK.
The AL-KUFA Public Library مكتبة الكوفة العامة has Islamic books in many languages: Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Persian, Filipino, and etc., as well as the Glorious Qur’an in Arabic with English translation, commentary, interpretation and transliteration. They are available in hardback and paperback. Free distribution Islamic books توزيع كتب اسلامية مجانا of such material libraries, prisons and/or institutions, hospitals, as well as to individuals. InSha’Allah, we hope to provide the opportunity to learn and be educated in Islam.

The sighting of the New Crescent

It is important in determining the day of the first of any Islamic months, including the day of Eid (في تحديد يوم العيد), these first days are subject to the sighting of the New Crescents (AlHilal الهلال), and are not based on the astronomical New Moon (AlQamarالقمر) (The elucidation (clarification) of the sighting of the New Crescent with the naked eye and astronomy توضيح رؤية الهلالبالعين المجردة وعلم الفلك), hoping that the Muslims become united.

You cannot believe this but I was in fact watching a show on National Television and it is called “Independent Lens" and it made me think about you. It was about a Muslim family and the son was born in the US. The father was talking about the challenges of fostering religion and the value of culture, and the challenges of the children being born here and appreciating the culture and religion of the family. It was very interesting. So, I was thinking that I should write: Thank you very much for the newsletter. So, I have to thank you for the inspiration.

Request For Help: Missing two children
AlHamdulillah, an 11 year old girl, Noha (Noah) Waleed El Hoseiny, and her 7 year old brother, Seif El Din Waleed El Hoseiny, who were lost have been found. The process of prisoner reentry to the community
The Center carries programs to benefit all in the best way, especially the inmates. The meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 10, 2010 at the Virginia Department of Social Services. I am thankful for improvement of the life of inmates and for your services to the community and humanity.
Kufa Center of Islamic Knowledge (KCIK) was founded in 1994 by Licensed Minister Amer Aziz Al-Zubaidi*, BS MS ABD (All But Dissertation for Doctorate).
Amer Aziz Al-Zubaidi, BS, MS, ABD (All But Dissertation for PhD) is a teacher of and has been interested in Nuclear Physics, all for peaceful use. His lifelong interest is in education, volunteering, and counseling for a non-profit organization. He is a licensed Imam (Minister) since March 30th 1995 by the Clerk’s Office of the City of Roanoke, Virginia, USA.
